Microsoft HoloLens at Escape Velocity

Google is bringing Science Journal to EV17
The Google Science Journal app allows you to gather data from the world around you. It uses sensors to measure your environment, like light and sound, so you can graph your data, record your experiments, and organize your questions and ideas. Download the app here


Katsucon 2017
The Museum is excited to work with our friends at Katsucon this year where we will have a booth and exhibit some original art and models from our Museum gallery. The show is next week starting on the 17th and is already sold out, but we are doing a special ticket giveaway to give you the chance to attend.


Open Call for EV17 Discussion Panels

Deep Ocean Robotics Competition
There isn’t much time left to enter the Museum’s ocean research and robotics competition; the deadline is March 15, so send in those entries, teams! The competition is open to all high school students; read the entry rules and register here.

Total Solar Eclipse

On August 21, the continental US will experience its first total solar eclipse since 1979. NASA has a fantastic website dedicated to this rare event that explains the science behind the phenomenon and the best times and places to witness it.


Boston Science Fiction Film Festival

If you are in the Boston area this week, our friends at Boston SciFi are holding their annual film festival and marathon starting tomorrow and running to the 20th. The festival is the oldest genre fest in America, and this year they are celebrating their 42nd anniversary. Tickets are still available here.
